Movewise Retreats

There are seasons for doing.

And there are seasons that ask us to move differently.

To slow down enough to notice what we've been carrying.

To return to rhythms that feel steadier.

To reconnect with the body beneath the noise.

To rest without disappearing from ourselves.

Late autumn naturally begins to draw us inward. Ground + Gather creates space to meet that transition intentionally; not by filling a weekend with more things to accomplish, but by creating the conditions for grounding, reflection, restoration, movement, and meaningful connection.

For two nights, a small group will gather at a private mountain property in Idyllwild to step outside of routine and into a different pace.

Not to fix ourselves. Not to optimize every hour.

Just enough space to listen, reconnect, and return with something more integrated.

The Ground + Gather Experience

Rest is not the break between the "real" activities. It is part of the practice. The weekend intentionally creates room to downshift, settle, and experience what changes when the body is given enough time to stop bracing for what comes next.

Nervous System Rest

Autumn offers a natural point of transition. Seasonal and Ayurvedic reflection, journaling, and intentional practices will invite us to notice what may be ready to soften, what still needs tending, and what we want to carry forward with greater care

Season Rituals

Ground + Gather is intentionally small. Shared retreat time, conversation, and communal experiences create space for connection without the intensity or anonymity of a large-group retreat.

Community Connection

The body becomes one of the ways we listen. Through movement and embodiment practices, we'll explore sensation, awareness, expression, and the relationship between how we move and how we feel.

Embodied Movement

A detailed retreat schedule will be shared with registered guests closer to the weekend.

  • You’ve been moving quickly or carrying more than usual.

  • You want to feel more connected to your body without another experience centered on pushing harder.

  • You feel something shifting internally, even if you don’t yet know exactly what comes next.

  • You value meaningful movement, reflection, nature, rest, and intimate community.

  • You want space to listen before immediately trying to solve.
