Miraqui Beginner Partnerwork Team
We’re excited to announce our brand-new Beginner Partnerwork Team! This is a dedicated training group for dancers who want structured growth, clear technique, and a fun, motivating community. Rehearsal will take place on Saturday afternoons in Encinitas.
Due to higher interest among follows, we recommend that follows register with a lead to help maintain a balanced lead–follow ratio. However, a partner is not required to participate.

About the Team
About Miraquí
The Beginner Mambo Partnerwork Training Team is the newest project by Miraquí Dance Co., a mambo dance company founded by Natasha Tia. To learn more, click on the button below.
Membership on this team requires two hours of training on Saturdays in Encinitas:
1:30pm - 2:30pm: Level 1 Partnerwork Class (mandatory for team members)
2:30 pm - 3:30pm: Beginner Partnerwork Training Team Rehearsal (mandatory for team members)
Time Commitment
What’s included in your membership?
In addition to 2 hours of rehearsal every week, your team membership also includes 3 drop-in classes per month!
What Class will Look Like
Each class will start with a warm-up and 45 minutes of instruction. We’ll work on basic timing, steps, and learn a beginner-friendly pattern suited for your level. For the last 15 minutes of class, we’ll practice our moves in a supportive social dance setting.
What to Expect During Rehearsal
The second hour of mandatory weekly training will be dedicated to rehearsal for the Level 1 training team. Throughout the season, we will learn choreography that builds progressively each week, hold regular progress check-ins for accountability, and develop formations in preparation for performance. While we will use choreography as our vehicle for growth, performing is not mandatory on this training team.
